Originally a white, sheer curtain pattern, embroidered in white lace and regular white linen thread for texture variation. We don't know what the full pattern looked like until we've gone through the many thousand printing patterns (all saved, be assured!) or find one of the original curtains.
For now, here is a panel measuring 40 x 50 cm with the barley (or rye?) pattern from the archive with a selection of threads: Knox's of Kilbirnie for beautiful lustre,
Fine Linen, the closest modern linen thread to Nordiska's lace linen and our regular linen.
Six prints per colour are available, each pack contains threads in colour close to the fabric.
I'm currently stitching up a sample on Favourite Linen to make a wall hanging.
The pattern measures 30 cm tall, 13 cm wide.
