Studio Flax Linen Embroidery Thread

Our contemporary pure linen embroidery threads are the same weight as our vintage linen threads. This thread is non divisible, it is spun to be used as it is, and works best with a chenille needle 22.

Each skein is 14 meter long, just as in the 1960's. We skein, fold, label and wrap each by hand in our studio in Bristol old town. 

The colour numbers which start with #1 is a soft, even linen, closer to Knox's of Kilbirnie's linen than Linblomman or Nordiska. The dye lots are very exact. 

Colours that start with #2 is similar to the 1960's Linblomman or Nordiska’s own linen, slightly firmer, more lustrous and more fibrous than Lyster #1. The dye lots can vary a bit from batch to batch. 

We pack orders of 20 skeins in a 70's linen thread box from Nordiska, so that you get a little bit of linen history together with your threads.
