”I det gröna” is a Swedish idiom meaning “outside,” or “out in the countryside.”

We found this drawing in the archive years ago, and instantly fell in love with the happy summery feeling, a warm day under leafy trees.

Nordiska of Gothenburg's creative director Ingrid Bjernefors Dahlman made this drawing in the early 1960's.

Winter 2020 a friend got in touch to ask if her mother's old embroideries would be of interest (Thank you, Karin!) and yes oh yes we were happy to find this amongst her collection!

Included in this listing:

Fine linen hand printed panel, circa 50 x 60 cm
A copy of the original embroidery instructions
A stitch card with the 24 most common 60's embroidery stitches

Please note no threads are included with this. Use your stash and add a few favourite colours!

A limited series in this size and fabric,
we hope to reprint this design next year when we have had a little time to search for a suitable mustard shade, so recreate the original.

Ingrid would have turned 100 years old this year had she been here still, and we are especially celebrating her wonderful world in 2021.
