The Nordiska pattern featuring a little angel, a bright candle, a twig and Lily of the Valley dates back to 1964. The design measures 18 cm tall and 12 cm wide.
It's hand printed on a 37.5 x 40 cm linen.
Six colours of linen thread, a needle, stitch card and a copy of the instructional drawing from Nordiska's archive are included. The stitches used in this kit are easy to learn, and the kit is suitable for beginners.
We have two linen twists to choose from:
one with bright green leaves of the lily, another with soft green leaves.
Please send a message with your order if you have a preference of colour, otherwise we will back the brighter greens.

Ice lily of the valley, Convallaria majalis, is winter's answer to
early summer's lily of the valley. The custom of decorating Christmas
with blooming lilies of the valley comes from 19th-century Germany.
During the first half of the 20th century, lilies of the valley were
also grown commercially in Sweden, which made them a common feature in
Swedish homes. The lilies that are kept cold to deceive them that
winter has already passed, then slowly awakened by the warmth indoors,
making them wake up, believing it is spring.
