Nordiska of Gothenburg, 1963
Limited to 8 kits - ready to ship.
(We may print more on a different colour fabric later in March)
Included in this kit:
100% linen panel, 37.5 x 40 cm
The fabric is a soft, lustrous heavy twill, 300gsm,
custom dyed indigo blue.
8 skeins of linen thread are included: we add an extra yellow and purple so the colours can be blended to look more like Nordiska's original.
A chenille needle, an archive poster in A4 with a stitch card on the reverse,
a colour copy of our 1960s original embroidered piece and a brief history of the pattern origins.
Tulips and Rooser pattern measures circa 27 x 15 cm
Eight simple stitches are noted for this pattern:
Stem stitch, chain stitch, flat or satin stitch, couching stitch, split stitch, lazy daisy, Y-stitch and French knots.
The poster is a facsimile of the 1960’s instructional sheet, with a detailed drawing showing the colours and stitches used in the 60’s. Although you will still need to decide where to add your six colours, the original chart will help you decide where to use light and dark shades.
