Originally a design for a tear off calendar wall picture from the early or mid 60s.
For our first version we made this pattern slightly smaller and kept the centre without calendar marks: embroider a birth date and initials in the centre for a gorgeous birthday gift.
Pattern measures 15 x 18 cm, open centre circa 4 x 5 cm.
The fabric is a fine linen from a century old European linen factory.
Embroidered in stem-, satin-, chain-, long and short-, lazy daisy, Y-stitch, split stitch and French knots.
9 colours of linen threads for the first five prints: we will make a hank kit for the summer and adjust the thread usage then.
