Our first series of Lyster, contemporary linen threads of 14 meter per skein.
Lyster #1 is a soft and smooth thread similar to Knox's of Kilbirnie that was made in the 1960's. It has a matte finish that will be very lustrous once pressed.
You can condition the thread with bee's wax or use it as it is.
Lyster #2 is similar to the 1960's Linblomman or Nordiska’s own linen, slightly firmer and more fibrous than Lyster #1.
A chenille 20/22/24 is a good needle to work with for linen thread, three of these will be included in the box.
There are 14 skeins in each box, all 14 meter long, together with a postcard and a thread card with a print from the Nordiska archive. The thread card shades may vary, but all matches the colours of the skeins. The box comes gift wrapped as pictured.
