Designed by Ingrid Bjernefors-Dahlman for Nordiska of Gothenburg, 1964
Ingrid's beautiful floral print from Nordiska of Gothenburg's is here printed on mid green soft coloured linen, approximately 50 x 50 cm with the print measuring 29 cm wide, 22 cm tall.
Two stitch cards are included: one card showing the 24 common stitches used in Nordiska’s embroidery, and one card with an image of the original 60’s drawing with a brief history of its origins translated into English.
The stitches used in this kit are:
satin stitch, y-stitch, split stitch, stem stitch,
lazy daisy stitch, flat stitch and French knots.
We are currently searching for an original version of this cushion from 1964, and hope to add it to the Nordiska archive collection one day.
We have found an original instructional sheet from 1964, and can include an A3 sized copy with each order from now (start 30/9 2019).
If your Linneaus was purchased before this date, or at a sample sale, then you can see the stitches named above here, and see the embroidery in place on this listing.
If you would like to make the panel into a cushion, you can use a matching colour in vintage linen, tweed or any material that suits the panel. We currently don’t supply extra backing panels for this kit, but we hope to do so in the future.
