Our loveliest vintage and contemporary linen threads in neon colours.

The Neon Vintage Linen Box is a series of 10, all contain the following rare and beautiful threads:

1 x Nordiska linen hemstitch skein, 1960's. This clear bright yellow thread is stranded and divides into 4 finer threads. In the mid century kits, three strands were often used together with the regular embroidery thread, to create a more interesting texture.

6 x skeins of our contemporary linen threads, 14m each
1 x twist of 1960's linen
1 x very fine HV linen for embroidery, made since the 1950s.

2 x Danish flowerthread: different neons in each box.

5 x vintage soft cottons, all stranded, all Swedish.

In then box you will also find yellow linen and 50 x 50 cm of our Fine Linen fabric and a postcard + envelope from The Patterned Book.

Notecard image: Colour theory diagrams by chemist and Nobel laureate Wilhelm Ostwald (1916). Ostwald introduced grey scale value or brightness into colour theory, influencing Piet Mondrian and the De Stijl movement.

If you would like to send this box as a gift to someone, please let us know when you place your order. We will then write your message within the card, gift wrap and send the parcel for you.

Please note that the Linda boxes are from a period between 1948 and 1966, and the front image reflect the year, not all are the same.
