We don't have the original instructional sheet for this design, but the large (A3) print will show where to add the stitches and colours.
Flock by Nordiska of Gothenburg was designed in Sweden in the late 1950's, then produced as a cushion kit in the year 1960.
The original fabric the design was printed on was called Nordylle, Northern Wool, in a very dark blue, almost black.
Back in the 60's Flock was sold as a small cushion kit, with clearly drawn lines of where to fold and cut the fabric.
The contemporary linen print is larger, although we have kept the design measurements exactly the same as the original,
21 cm tall, and 57 cm wide. The fabric itself measures approximately 38 x 77 cm.
The original was embroidered in bright blues, turquoise, brown and a beautiful cream. We followed the colours of the drawing rather than the threads,
soft muted blues and pastels.
Seven simple stitches are used: stem-, chain-, satin-, flat-, split-, Lazy Daisy- and Y-stitch.
